Next in the Line of Indispensable CEO Tools

The premise that there is one "true north" for all CEOs, generating top quartile total shareholder returns relative to peers, is one that has become a widely held and generally accepted belief. The concepts are real and usable, and not obvious ...

The concepts are real and usable, and not obvious to many before the fact. It becomes clear that when using generally accepted accounting principles you can end up with a house of cards (negative value that appears to be positive value) when it comes to making real money and growing the value of a company! This is more of an engineered approach to building a corporation's value! If you are reading this as a non-executive or without a finance background (as I read it as an engineer) I would suggest a quick study of one prerequisite concept. Google the definition of WACC (weighted average cost of capital) to keep in mind the effect of tying up cash in an asset vs. borrowing against it as it applies to the cost of capital. This is not a book just about that concept, but you need to understand the weighted average cost of capital after borrowing is what is being referred to often. Then you are ready to begin reading.
