Complete Jewish Bible : An English Version of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and B'Rit Hadashah (New Testament), by David H. Stern

Why is this Bible different from all other Bibles? Because it is the only English version fully Jewish in style and presentation. It includes Dr. Stern's new version of the "Tanakh" ("Old Testament") and his highly acclaimed "Jewish New Testament."

The Complete Jewish Bible:

- follows the Hebrew Bible order of the Tanakh's books, the order with which Yeshua (Jesus) was familiar
- makes no separation between "Old" and "New" Testaments
- corrects misinterpretations in the New Testament resulting from anti-Jewish theological bias
- offers the original Hebrew names for people, places, and concepts, using easy-to-read English transliterations
- focuses on Messianic prophecy
- gives the traditional weekly and holiday synagogue readings, plus relevant readings from the "B'rit Hadashah" (New Testament)

The Complete Jewish Bible:

- reconnects Christians with their Jewish roots and the Jewish people
- connects Jews with the Jewishness of Messiah Yeshua and Messianic faith

Other features of this Bible: a comprehensive introduction, a pronouncing explanatory glossary, a reverse glossary, and special maps to aid Bible understanding.

About the Author
David H. Stern, born in Los Angeles in 1935, is the great-grandson of two of the city's first twenty Jews. He earned a Ph.D. in economics at Princeton University and was a professor at UCLA. In 1972 he came to faith in Yeshua the Messiah. He then received a Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary, did graduate work at the University of Judaism, and was active in the Messianic Jewish movement. In 1979 the Stern family made aliyah (immigrated to Israel); they now live in Jerusalem. Dr. Stern authored the "Messianic Jewish Manifesto". His highly acclaimed English translation, the "Jewish New Testament," restores the New Testament's Jewishness. His "Jewish New Testament Commentary" discusses the many Jewish issues found in the New Testament. His fresh translation, the "Complete Jewish Bible", expresses the unity of the Tanakh ("Old Testament") and the B'rit Hadashah ("New Testament"). This outstanding, scholarly work offers Bible readers a thorough, biblically Jewish version of God's word.

Helped Teenage Boy on Spiritual Journey.
By Marco Andrade
As a teenage "Catholic", I was looking into the protestant faith because I didn't understand why the Roman teachings influenced the Catholic Church so much. I recently discovered that I have some Jewish Roots as both of my grandparents on my mothers side(which died while I was young) were Jewish and my mom was a convert to Catholicism which I never knew. I set out to read more about being Jewish and whatnot and discovered that it is a beautiful religion and even started talking to my parents about attending a synagogue. I then contacted a Orthodox Jewish synagogue and they explained to me that I was already Jewish and that I would just have to be circumcised and whatnot else. I had a bad feeling about going to a service and on that same day as I was doing some research I came across Messianic Judaism. It combined my belief in Yeshua and in Atonai. I proceeded to read about how it came to be and what it was and I discovered that it was a beautiful religion and so I began to search for an appropriate "messianic" bible to compare to my parents Catholic Bible(NRSV–CE). I bought this bible for that purpose and the translation is beautiful and I like how it includes Hebrew names instead of the translated English names. It has helped me a lot on my path. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Yeshua bless you.

A Good Bible for givign the flavor of the originla text
By Don Rankin
I use this as one of my study Bibles. Some critics complain that only one man was involved in the translation. So far I have found it to be very accurate. I have other Bibles based upon the original text that are fraught with typos; something I never thought I would see in a published Bible. At this time I have not found any such errors in this work. I have had it for several years now. Not only well made but very helpful.

Awesome Bible!
By Daughter of YAHUAH
My kids and I have been reading this Bible for several years and it is absolutely amazing! We read some scriptures in other versions as well but with most scriptures we prefer this one! We've learned some Hebrew from it and prefer to use the Hebrew names that are written in this Bible. We've also learned about the 7 Feasts of ADONAI from the back of this book and which scriptures to read on the Feasts and Sabbaths. This Bible is translated into English from a Hebrew perspective. It has some Hebrew words that are explained in the back of the book. If you want a deeper walk with Jesus Christ - Yeshua HaMashiach, I highly recommend this Bible to help you on your way! Our Savior is Hebrew! HalleluYAH! Praise YAH! †
